Parking
  • If you leave the car park within 30 minutes, parkign is free.

Less than 30 minutesFree (no validation required)
    30 minutes to 1 hour€ 2,50
    1-2 hours€ 3,50
    2-3 hours€ 5,00
    3-4 hours€ 6,00
    4-24 hours€ 12,00

If you stay longer than 24 hours, you will be charged for each additional hour as indicated in the table.
For example: if you enter the car park on Monday at 09:00 and need to stay at UZA for four nights, you will pay €12.00 for each 24-hour period your car is parked. Each additional hour will be charged as indicated in the table.
The same rates apply to the disabled parking area as those in the regular car park.

How does the paid parking work?

    • When entering the car park, take a parking ticket at the entrance barrier.
    • Keep this ticket with you while you are in the hospital.
    • After your visit, insert your ticket into the payment machine in the parking tower (card payment) or in the entrance hall (cash).
    • Pay the amount due, and you will receive a ticket that allows you to exit the car park.
    • Free parking within 30 minutes: If you return to the barrier to exit the car park within 30 minutes, you do not need to validate your ticket at the payment machine. You can simply insert your ticket at the barrier to exit. If you validate your ticket at the payment machine just before the 30 minutes expire, you also do not need to pay. You will have time to walk to your car and leave the car park.

    10-Visit passes
Patients and visitors who need to visit UZA regularly can purchase a 10-visit pass for €24.00 at the payment machine (regardless of duration). This pass is valid for six months.

Please note: Use your 10-visit pass both when entering and exiting the car park at the barrier. If you take a new ticket when entering, you cannot exit with your 10-visit pass. You will need to pay again at the machine.

  • The car park has 1,441 spaces available for patients and visitors. It is equipped with CCTV for central monitoring and video recording.

    • 92 spaces for people with disabilities (including 71 spaces in the parking building)
    • 12 charging points for electric vehicles in the parking tower

You can easily locate your car using the signage on the boards in the car park. Please remember which row you parked in when you leave your vehicle.

  • If you arrive at the emergency department by car, you can park for free in the designated parking area for emergencies. This area is signposted at the roundabout on Drie Eikenstraat.

When you register, you will receive a code to exit the parking area.

  • Individuals with disabilities can park in the designated area opposite the main entrance or in the allocated spaces within the parking tower. The same parking rates apply to these spaces as for standard parking. Please ensure that your disability parking card is displayed clearly in your vehicle.

  • If you are dropping off or picking up someone at the UZA, please use the kiss and ride zone. Here, you can park for up to 10 minutes free of charge. Please leave the kiss and ride area as soon as your passenger has exited or been picked up. If you need to stay longer, you must move your vehicle to the standard parking area.

Taxis also stop in this zone at the designated stands.

You can access this zone via the road leading to 'Emergency' from the roundabout on Drie Eikenstraat. Please switch off your engine while waiting.

  • It is essential for everyone's safety that you only park in designated spaces. If you are parked incorrectly, you may find an informational leaflet on your windscreen, and you could be approached individually about the issue.

Compliance guidelines for patients, visitors, and suppliers
