At the University Hospital of Antwerp (UZA), we continually improve our care through scientific research and innovation. Our key partner in research and innovation is UAntwerp. Through collaboration with clinical networks, such as the Helix hospital network, we bring research and innovation into practise. To create a broader societal impact, with citizens at the heart of these efforts, we have also launched a wider innovation network in the region, the Antwerp Health Harbour.

Patient involvement

Patients and their representatives are essential partners in our scientific research. Through the Patient Advisory Council for Scientific Research, we involve (former) patients, caregivers, and experience experts in the development and evaluation of clinical studies. Their valuable feedback ensures that research projects are better aligned with the needs of patients.
